Sonosfera plugin privacy policy
Updated 8 October 2026. This policy covers Sonosfera's public music MCP integration for ChatGPT, Codex and Claude, operated by Sonosfera. Contact hello@trysonosfera.com.
Data used to answer requests
The integration receives the arguments its AI client sends to its tools: search keywords, venue, mood and genre filters, public playlist identifiers, instrumental preferences and result limits. It uses these only to retrieve public music catalogue information. The integration does not request account sign-in, payment details, private playlists, contacts or location. It does not receive the entire conversation through its MCP tools.
Processing and retention
The plugin runs on Vercel and reads Sonosfera's public catalogue through Supabase. Tool arguments and results are processed in memory for the request. The plugin does not write them to a user database or log their contents. Hosting and database providers may retain technical logs, including request metadata and network addresses, under their service settings. Contact Sonosfera for the applicable log retention settings or a deletion request.
Sharing and listening links
Vercel provides hosting and Supabase provides catalogue access. Results are returned to the AI client that requested them. ChatGPT and Codex follow OpenAI's policies; Claude follows Anthropic's policies, along with your account settings. The integration does not sell personal data or use requests for advertising. Opening a listening or playlist link visits the Sonosfera website, where its own cookies, access controls and website privacy policy apply.
Your choices
You can stop using or disconnect the integration at any time. Avoid sending personal information in search keywords. Contact Sonosfera to ask about data access, correction or deletion. Removing the integration does not automatically remove conversation history held by your AI provider; manage that through your OpenAI or Anthropic account.
